The website Gardening Gone Wild (you just have to love that title) has launched a photo contest or rather an imaging capture contest because the theme is ‘Fall on a Flatbed Scanner’. That’s right. Capture an image without using a camera. You just cannot resist such a challenge, can you? At least I could not.
A note to myself… Remove the dust from the glass before scanning. Small white dots all over the image are not photogenic (and no one will belive it is snow even if I tried to convince myself of something like that during the process of spot removal).

/ October 19, 2010Thank you for the nice compliment! It is fun playing with the scanner sometimes even if I have to admit that the camera is my tool of choice.

/ October 21, 2010The camera is my tool of choice too. At least you only had dust to contend with. Your choice of subjects was wise and beautiful.

/ October 21, 2010This was a fun project. I had dust and a wee tiny ant on mine. LOL

/ October 22, 2010I love the fruits and vegies! I tried to include an okra in my scan, but it was just all wrong! Sadly! This is truely gorgeous!!!

/ October 24, 2010@all: Indeed it was a fun project. Using a different technique at times is good for the creative eye I believe. No chance of falling into old traps (a big risk of falling into new ones though…).
